The Leslie Memorial Presbyterian Church, designed in 1925 by the prominent Sydney architectural firm Ross and Rowe, is a good representative example of an Inter-war gothic church. The associated hall is a good example of a Federation carpenter gothic church in the Blue Mountains, and is the oldest Presbyterian Church in the Blue Mountains. nThe buildings have been associated with Presbyterian worship in the town of Blackheath since c.1900.

The Vispassana Meditation Centre offers residential courses in Vipassana Meditation in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin as taught by S.N. Goenkan Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation.
